Our PurposeThe purpose of the organization is to seek professional development, travel and networking opportunities, community service projects, and awareness in the growing financial world. Furthermore, we aim to assist ethnic minority students for the college to work force transition.

HistoryBlack Student Business Caucus was founded at Ohio University in 1988 with the purpose of educating multicultural students about different scenarios in the business world.
BSBC is one of the oldest organizations on campus, as well as in the College of Business, serving students of color from all majors. |
ProgramsBack to School Mix and Mingle
-Freshmen, transfers and multicultural students will get a chance to mingle with faculty & staff Entrepreneurship Fair -Student entrepreneurs will get a chance to sell their products/services to the OU campus and Athens community Build Your Own Business -Students in BSBC will get a chance to compete in a program where you create a business plan and present it before a panel of judges. Students will receive credit upon completion. Charlotte Networking Week BSBC takes students to Charlotte or another city to network with fellow Bobcats who live in the area. |
LeadershipStudents now have the opportunity to apply to become a member of the Board of Directors. They will be in charge of running a certain category within the organization.

InterviewsTo become a Director, students must submit an application. Once the application has been turned in and reviewed, our selection committee will meet and make our final decision on who is eligible to hold positions. The selection process will be decided with the entire executive board (Advisor, President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer). The interview process will be held with the advisor and president.
